1. Introduction of Ujigami Shrine

The main building of Ujigami shrine is said to have been built in around 1060, which is one of the oldest remaining shrine structures in Japan.

 

It is part of the group of 17 UNESCO sites in Kyoto, including the background mountainous scenery of Ujigami shrine.

 

The three objects of worship here are the spirits of father and two sons, the father and one of the sons became emperors but the other son took his own life.
