1. What is the "Places-of-your-Choice" Tour?

 

  • Clients can choose up to four places they would like to visit (within Kyoto City) from the List of  destinations you can choose from.
  • Services for accommodation arrangements are not included as this is a One Day Tour.
  • Maximum FIVE people for each tour; the tour is private and guided.
  • The tour consists of walking and the usage of public transport; Taxis are possible upon your request however it will be your additional cost.

2. Model Itinerary

Sometime between 8:00am and 9:00am 

The guide (Fumiko) will meet you in the lobby of your accommodation (within Kyoto City) as the starting point of the tour. If you are coming from outside Kyoto City on the morning of the tour day, the alternate meeting place (within Kyoto City) will be suggested.

 

Note that more accurate time will be informed after booking; the meeting time varies depending on the month, the location of your accommodation.

  • Visit one to two places of your choice in the morning
  • Have Lunch:

We will have lunch along the route of the tour (Not included in the tour price; please pay locally). Usually, 2,500 yen - 3,500 yen per adult will be enough for a casual lunch, however the cost varies depending on the person and what kind of dishes you choose from a menu. Bringing Japanese yen cash with you will be handy to pay for lunch and snacks.

 

  • Visit one to two places of your choice in the afternoon

Sometime between 4:00pm and 6:00pm (varies depending on the meeting time and the duration of the tour):

Tour ends either at your hotel / accommodation(within Kyoto city) or an alternate place of your convenience, such as the last place to visit in the Itinerary.

  • An additional charge will be applied if you request to extend the tour duration or to visit an additional place.
  • If there are any children aged 11 years old or younger in your group, a discounted price will apply ; please make an inquiry to receive the estimate.  *The age here means the age on the date of the tour.

  • General Entry/Admission fees to visit up to four places mentioned in your Places-of-your-Choice Tour itinerary
  • Public Transportation fees to visit places on the List of  destinations you can choose from during the tour

(3) Not included

  • Lunch and snacks 
  • Travel Insurance
  • Other costs incurred as a result of the request from the Client, such as taxi fares, additional admission fees, and fees for special/seasonal exhibitions/events, etc.*

*The general entry fees to visit up to four places on the List of destinations you can choose from will be included, however, if those places are holding seasonal / special exhibitions/events and if you would like to see some of them, please pay locally as those costs are not included.

4. Booking Conditions

Submitting the Booking Form (as mentioned in the "Step 2" of the next "How to Book" section) means you (and your group members) agreed to the "Terms and Conditions".

5. How to Book

Step 1: Inform your Requested Date for the Tour and places of your choice

  • Please submit the following form to inform your requested date for the tour along with other basic information.  (Please make sure to check the availability calendar shown in the "Terms and Conditions" before submitting the form. )
  • Within 48 hours you will receive a response, which informs you whether the guide is available OR not on your requested date. 

If you do not receive any response within 48 hours, please check your spam email folder or/and contact Kyoto mansai tours again.

Step 2: Inform other necessary information

  • When the day is secured for you, you will receive the link of the "Booking Form" by e-mail.
  • In the Booking Form, you will be asked other necessary information: such as names of your group/family members, etc.
  • Please submit the Booking Form within 7 days you receive it.

6. Destinations you can choose from

 You can choose up to four places you would like to include in your Places-of-your-Choice Tour from the following "List of destinations you can choose from".  

 

Fumiko(Your guide) will make the itinerary for you to visit places of your choice, figuring out the efficient order of visits and deciding the safe and fun routes. She will also be the guide for you on your tour day.

  Note that if the places of your choice are located relatively far apart from each other or far from your accommodation, you might not be able to visit four places. In that case, one place might have to be omitted or the tour cannot finish within 8-9 hours; if it is likely to happen, you will be informed beforehand. If you prefer, taxis are possible to shorten the transport time, however, it will be your additional cost.
