1. Introduction of Ryozen-kannon Temple

Ryozen-Kannon Temple was founded in 1955 in Kyoto to pray for the repose of the souls of war dead from WWⅡ.

 

This temple is well known for the huge statue called “Kannon”, a Buddhist deity of mercy. The size is 78ft (24m) high and 500 tons, made of concrete.
