Submitting the Booking Form means you (and your group members) agreed to the following "Terms and Conditions"; please carefully read all of them beforehand.

Tour Application (and Availability Calendar)

 

 Please note that tours are not available when shown "busy" in English or "予定あり” in Japanese on the calendar below. This calendar will be updated whenever necessary.

Availability Calendar

  Bookings are accepted from ONE MONTH before your planned day of a tour through this website 

 

  Just-before bookings should be made at least one week in advance.

 

 To book a tour, please go to the "How to Book" section in the webpage of the tour of your choice and submit the necessary form shown in “Step1” within the same section; please also refer to "Step2" and "Step3" in the "How to book" section. 

  If the client is traveling alone, he/she needs to be 20 years old or over. The client under 20 years old of age must be accompanied by his/her parent or guardian.

*The age mentioned here means the age on the date of the tour.  

 

 Please make sure that the tour of your choice is appropriate to your abilities and suits your interests; please also refer to the "Concepts".

 

 Also, it is usual that approximate walking distance for one day tour can be  5 to 7 miles / 8 to 11 km or sometimes more. Please make sure you and all your group members can walk those distances.

 

 If "approximate walking distances" are mentioned in the tour information pages, please understand that those are minimum distances. Please also understand that in case of a Places-of-your-Choice tour and a Custom-ordered tour, an approximate walking distance for each tour will not be provided in your itinerary.

 

 It is necessary for clients to notify Kyoto mansai tours (hereinafter mentioned as "KMT") when booking if special attentions are required during the tour because of diet restriction, allergy, pregnancy, chronic disease, ill health, and physical handicap etc., and KMT shall try to comply with such requests as long as feasible and reasonable; however, please understand that KMT cannot guarantee.

 

 If KMT makes special arrangement to comply with the client's request, the client shall be responsible for the incurred expenses. KMT might refuse the client's booking/reservation/application when the requests seem beyond the reasonable scope of the details in the itinerary or require any conditions for the safe and smooth tour operation. Notification related to acceptance or rejection of the client's request/application/participation of the tour can be made by KMT at any time, including after the starting time of the tour.

 

 If the client seeks medical diagnosis or treatment by a doctor due to injury, illness, disease or any other reasons during the tour, KMT may take necessary actions for the safety of the client as well as the smooth operation of the tour. In that case, the client shall pay costs and expenses resulting from such actions and measures including but not limited to medical costs etc. The client needs to agree that KTM assumes no liabilities regarding the provision of the medical care because there might be a case that some medical services are not available at hospitals. Please also agree that KMT cannot give medical advice or care as it is not a medical professional.

 

 KMT might also reject the clients' booking / reservation / application / participation for the tour operation reasons etc.; please see example reasons in the "Decline or Cancellation from Kyoto MANSAI Tours" section.

Contents' Revision of the Itinerary

  KMT may revise the itinerary and services for any of the following reasons: pandemic, governmental orders, natural disaster, civil unrest, suspension of services rendered by transport/accommodation facilities, and provision of transportation not based on the original tour plan, or any other situations beyond KMT's control.

 

KMT reserves the right to take necessary measures when safe, smooth tour operation in accordance with the itinerary seems difficult, or when KMT considers that it is impossible to continue the tour. If it happens, KMT shall explain the tour cannot continue according to the itinerary under the circumstances.

Travel Insurance

 Clients acknowledge that they need to obtain travel insurance by themselves at an additional cost, as the tour fare does not include the cost of their insurance.

 

KMT recommends all the clients shall have travel insurance before starting the tour. It is recommended that this insurance should cover the corona virus infection*, injury, emergency medical expenses, cancellation, curtailment, delay, and other expenses that might arise as a result of inconveniences occurring to the client; KMT is not responsible for all those additional expenses incurred by the client.

 

* FYI: In addition to the related medical expenses, you may have to extend your stay in Japan until you recover from the COVID-19 infection if you become infected while you are in Japan.

Privacy Policy

  KMT shall obtain and use the clients' information provided in the tour booking/application forms only to communicate with them and to arrange and provide relevant services for them.

  • Clients shall be responsible for; understanding the contents of the itinerary as well as the Terms and Conditions before booking, and any individual purchases at shops during the tour.

  • KMT carefully makes this Terms and Conditions, however, if you find any typographic errors or if you need more detailed explanations, please contact/make an inquiry.
  • KMT is constantly looking for ways to improve tours and to ensure that the Terms and Conditions explain necessary information clearly: therefore, when the contents of the Terms and Conditions are updated, relevant parts will be informed to the affected clients. 
  • This Terms and Conditions and the contract between the client and KMT shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan; for example, those who are under 20 years old of age are not allowed to drink alcohol. Please abide by such a rule while you are in Japan and the Guide will explain other rules when necessary, during a tour.
  • Tour services including arrangements of transportation and/or accommodations are considered as Custom-ordered tours of Organized Tours; meaning Kyoto mansai tours making reservations at the request of the Client for the itinerary management of the tour. If you would like to request such a tour, different Terms & Conditions will apply and it will be sent to the Client separately along with a quote.
