Updates on booking information as of January 12th, 2022

Written by Fumiko Koike

As of yesterday (Jan. 11th, 2022), the Japanese government announced that they will extend the border restrictions: it is a virtual ban on new entry of foreign nationals including foreign tourists. This is aimed at reducing the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

Prime Minister Kishida said the border control measure will stay in place until the end of February.

However, in my opinion, this schedule/contents of the measures can be subject to change depending on the situation in the next two months. For details of the border control measures, please check updates by yourself and follow the latest guidance from the official bodies before traveling to Japan.

If you are planning on booking a tour of Kyoto MANSAI Tours, it is recommended that you take the above information into account, and also please refer to the following.

Dear International tourists,
